Frequently asked questions :

  • Do we need to have equipment in a special place so it can be inspected.

No, we work our way around the facility in & out of the rooms to find the equipment.

IE: if we find walkers & Wheelchairs in and around the dining area during meal times we will still continue

afterwards around the rooms to double check equipment is not missed.

  • Do you have to go into resident/patients rooms ?

Yes, to find all the disabled & medical equipment. In saying that we are well aware these are

patient/residents homes and or living space. Knocking, introduce ourselves, checking if it’s ok & stating

what we are there for. All part of our Workplace Health & safety policy. Being on a per item charge we get

to interact with those people during our inspections. In line with our family business ethos.

  • Is their anything else you do while inspecting equipment?

Describe the item or answer the question so that site visitors who are interested get more information. You can emphasize this text with bullets, italics or bold, and add links.
  • Is their anything else we do ?

With our years of experience and knowledge of what happens with our other clients. We can advise on

available equipment on the market. IE Electric hoists with approx pricing and suppliers. Electric beds ,

    wheelchairs etc.

We know if other places have equipment being stored other clients may need acting as an intermediary.

  • Do you charge a travel fee to & from your workshop when doing inspections for the Preventative maintenance program?

No, we do not normally charge a travel fee.The only time we will charge a travel fee is if we have to travel

    out of the Hobart area.

  • When does a repair rate start if we have to replace or fit something to an item we inspect ?

Outside that inspection period is when the hourly fee begins.

IE: If a wheelchair has worn out tyres that we can replace on site and or needs a part replacement that

can’t be done as a simple nut replacement or hand grips. Things such as a broken wheely walker brake

cable we would halve our fee as any more cost isn’t worth the repair. We will notify maintenance staff if

repairs are required and for approval, for older equipment parts may be onsite to utilize.
